Membership requirements have changed. People from foreign countries can now also join the Forum (June 23, 2016).
To join the Forum, a referral from a member of the Japan OLED Forum is generally required.
Applications without a referral will be considered only in special cases. For more details, please see the member registration form.

Management member |
- The applicant can be a corporation or an individual. The applicant must be an upstanding member of society, actively work toward raising the international competitiveness of Japan, and receive a majority approval from the Steering Committee.
- Up to 10 people from a management member can be recommended as regular members. Such regular members shall not be required to pay the individual regular membership fee.
- Management members can nominate regular members as candidates for the Steering Committee.

Support member |
- The applicant can be a corporation or an individual. The applicant must be an upstanding member of society, actively support the development of OLEDs, and receive a majority approval from the Steering Committee.
- Up to 5 people from a support member can be recommended as regular members. Such regular members shall not be required to pay the individual regular membership fee.

- The applicant should be an official member, or visiting researcher, of a corporate enterprise having a manufacturing and development base.
- Alternatively, the applicant can be a faculty member, researcher, or postdoctoral fellow of a university or similar institute of higher education.
- The applicant must receive the Steering Committee’s approval, which will be based on the applicant's accomplishments in his or her field of expertise.

|
This status is reserved for individuals who have made distinguished achievements in a field relevant to the Forum and individuals who have made significant contributions toward accomplishing the goals of the Forum.

Note: Membership status shall be lost if a member no longer meets the membership requirements because of changes in affiliation for reasons such as transfer or retirement. |
